MSI Express and Bigger Table Collaborate to Fight Food Insecurity in the Chicagoland Area
As part of our ESG commitment, MSI Express has partnered with Bigger Table to make a difference in fighting food insecurity in the Chicagoland area.
Recently, MSI Express leveraged our food and beverage manufacturing network and the expertise of 15 plants in six states to collaborate with Bigger Table. This effort resulted in the following accomplishments:
- Approximately 450,000 servings of Plant-Based Chili Mix: MSI Express's Portage, IN plant donated contract manufacturing and packaging services for Bigger Table's high-protein, high-fiber Plant-Based Chili. The chili was distributed throughout Chicagoland’s food banks and pantries.
- Approximately 300,000 servings of Family Mac Pack with Cheese Sauce: MSI Express's Batavia, IL plant donated contract manufacturing and packaging services for Bigger Table's nutrient-dense, shelf-stable Mac N Cheese meals for the Chicago Food Depository.
MSI Express actively seeks opportunities to feed people, rather than landfills. Through customer collaboration, we donate trial and discontinued products, items with packaging changes, and excess supply to organizations that address food insecurity in local communities.
We greatly appreciate the impactful work that Bigger Table does in the Chicagoland area on a daily basis, providing nutritious food to those in need.
MSI Express is a strategic and innovative contract manufacturing and packaging company focused on growth. With our expanding range of capabilities and trusted team of problem solvers, we are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of today's CPG world.
